went to maui this year and got to go to joann and dans amazingly fun wedding! it was great, i normally don't go to maui and i have to say it was awesome to have an excuse to go. the day after the wedding we drove around and got some fun shots! thanks dan and joann, you guys are so sweet and hilarious i'm wishing you all the best!

not too long ago i had the honor of shooting the wedding of two very close friends on lindquist beach in st. thomas. now, i think dave's post says it much better ( and if not better it is certainly more verbose) , but i'm going to give it a shot anyway.

uncle alex and aunt yuki, i just wanted to give you guys my sincerest congratulations and wishes of happiness. spending time with you both is always unbelievably fun ( and educational! thanks yuki-pedia (; ) and something that our whole family always looks forward to. being with you on your wedding was no exception, your ceremony was one of the most touching i have ever had the privilege to witness and when i saw you both so happy and obviously in love i am pretty sure my heart melted, just a little bit! i'm sure mine wasn't the only one to do so! i consider you guys my family and cannot express how happy i am for you both, so i will just say i can't wait until we meet up again whether it be for wakeboarding at the bay, sledding in mammoth, or just hanging out wherever (:

you may or may not be aware that my parents are quite possibly the most pertinacious of all parents when it comes to hounding their child about updating their blog.

it would be impossible to truly write out exactly what it is like having such tenacious parents who will not take "i'll do it later" for an answer without more badgering. so i will have to show you what it's like via a youtube video.

last week dave and i met up with the amazingly fun carla and todd to shoot their engagement photos. we had a blast! carla and todd had me smiling the whole shoot, between their hilarious jokes and sweet romantic moments when they forgot the camera and focused solely on each other, it was hard not to :]

last saturday me, dave, and rowena from http://rowenacurtis.com/ got to shoot joe and jenn's wedding at a little church in encinitas. it was an awesome day, it was warm, the sun was shining and everyone had a smile on their face :] here's a few of my shots from the day.

ro had a great idea for the shoe shot, and put them on the piano in the dressing room. she has a great knack for shooting details
jenn and her dad before the ceremony. he was the sweetest man you could ever meet, he had me torn between laughing and crying during his speech at the reception.

jenn and joe were all smiles after the ceremony.

i'm still trying to think of what magazine jenn walked out of, she was an awsome model :]
joe on top of some old air condtioners on the side of the church. he can make any setting look good.

noah, rain's BFF, finally got back from his trip to canada the other day! i know my sister and i are really glad to have him back, it's been a pretty boring week without him around :]

rain and noah at the flower fields on mother's day. we were constantly on the lookout for the security guard who would have a heart attack if you even attempted to smell the flowers.

hey all! i finally got around to creating my own blog and what better way to start than by showing the utter destruction of wedding dresses. tons of extremely talented photographers and beautiful couples came downtown yesterday for a great time of wading through fountains, playing in a tractor, and having a water gun fight to the death. all in all everything needed for a great photoshoot. :]
